HOLISTIC SINUS AND NASAL TREATMENT
With BAIBA KVITKA MASSAGE THERAPY
0851105062

sinus treatment
The sinus cavities are lined up with cilia whose function is to move mucus produced by the sinuses towards tiny holes called ostia that provide drainage from the sinuses into the nose. The sinus cavities are also lined with a mucus membrane. this mucus is important as it contains antibodies shirt help the body recognize pathogens. The mucus also contains scavenger cells and enzymes that kill the pathogens that it traps. But if the sinuses become infected or inflamed, or if there is an allergic reaction, the body produces extra mucus.
Treatment Steps:
  1. Steam inhalations with essential oils
  2. Facial/sinus/head/scalp massage
  3. Facial lymphatic drainage massage with facial cups
  4. Nasal Anu Thailam oil administration
  5. Reflexology sinus/head/face  flexes (foot) massage
Treatment starts with steam inhalations with essential oils. Steaming the face and sinus can greatly help reduce irritation, inflammation, and pressure within the sinus cavity. Steam inhalation warms and moistens the nasal passages and loosens and helps to thin mucus, making it easier to shift and clear by blowing into a tissue. Creating a feeling of less pressure around the sinuses and a lighter, less muggy feeling in your head. The use of organic essential oils for steaming can greatly aid in further loosening and clearing sinuses and headaches. The use of Lavandin or Eucalyptus works to reduce inflammation, fight bacteria, and ease pain.
The next step in treatment is facial/sinus/head/scalp massage, following facial lymphatic drainage massage using facial cups.
In the last 10 minutes of the treatment, the Therapist will administer Ayurvedic Nasya – Anu Thailam oil/nasal drops from India. One of the main ingredients of Anu Thailam is Himalayan Cedar. Administering oil through the nasal passage during the Nasya therapy helps prevent the accumulation of toxins in the throat, nose, and head, it helps clear sinus congestion, it’s used as a preventative for sinusitis, improves mental clarity, reduces mucus production, eases headaches and migraine, soothes the nasal passage and treats nasal allergies, relieves pain in the ear, head, and throat, stimulates the centers of the brain that regulates emotions and relieves stress.
While the nasal oil is starting to work, the therapist will proceed to feet flexes massage. Working on the sinus, head, and face flexes helps to further loosen mucus and ease congestion. By finishing the sinus treatment with the feet concentrating on the sinus, head, face, and respiratory flexes, truly compliments the work of steaming and ayurvedic nasal drops adding far-reaching benefits by continuing to bring pain relief and balance to the area needed.
